Tokyo 東京: Super Hotel Lohas Ikebukuro-Eki Kitaguchi || Ikebukuro 池袋

Super Hotel Lohas Ikebukuro-Eki Kitaguchi
This is definitely one of my favourite chain hotel in Japan. Why? It is because Super hotel chain offers hot spring public bath (no matter it is in natural or artificial), good buffet breakfast spreads and everyday special pick-your-own amenities that you would like to have. Let's see more of the details.
This was the experience for Super Hotel Lohas Ikebukuro-Eki Kitaguchi branch. The key to access to the room was a passcode. You will need to remember the passcode if not you will not be able to enter your room. There was also a passcode for you to enter the hotel building if you are outside the hotel from midnight to morning as the counter was closed during this hours.
As well as the public bath area which is located at the second floor. Both man and women public bath area is separated with a different passcode. You will need the passcode to enter respectively.
This was the everyday special pick-your-own amenities for men section!
While this was the everyday special pick-your-own amenities for women section:)
Here was our room lounge area!
The toilet & bathroom.
The large and comfortable bed!
And ya, their public bath area open from 1500 to the next morning 0930, so you can go enjoy at whatever time you like between this hours. You do not need to bring anything over to the public bath area as the public bath area do provide things like shampoo, shower cream, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, locker and even skin care too. Just bring along yourself and a piece of towel.

Strictly NO phone, foods, drinks, big towels and clothes are allowed in the bathing area. The hotel counter do provide you some tattoo cover sticker if you need one as people who is with tattoo strictly not allowed into the public bath area.

The public bath - hot spring water here in Super Hotel Lohas Ikebukuro-Eki Kitaguchi branch is made of artificial high concentration carbonation. It means that the hot water is dissolved with lots of carbon dioxide gas. The water may contains of 250ppm or even more carbon dioxide per litre. If the water contains of 1000ppm or more of carbon dioxide, it means that it has a very high concentrated carbon dioxide water which is essential for medical treatment.

It has lots of benefits to the body like improvement of the blood flow. When you are taking this high concentration carbon dioxide bath, you will notice that many small little tiny bubbles appearing on the skin. The carbon dioxide in the bubbles will then penetrate into the skin through small vessels which will dilate the peripheral vessels and helps to improve the blood flow in the body.

As a result, carbonated water has 3 times greater blood flow compared to just plain water. It is good for improving sensitivity to cold, wound healing, stiff shoulder, improve parasympathetic nerve dominance due to lower pulse rates and many more.
Our everyday snacks & drinks from the convenient store/local supermarket.

Fruits hunt was also a MUST in Japan! No matter which season you are visiting Japan, there's always many kinds of fruits in season.
Grapes was in season during our October - Nov trip.
