Chocolat Bel Amer Kyoto-Bettei is a luxury Japanese brand that masterfully fuses traditional French chocolatier artistry with the rich heritage and seasonal aesthetics of Kyoto. It is operating out of a beautifully restored, 100 years old machiya, the shop offers an immersive sensory experience.
On the ground floor, there is selling their signature creation - the "Mizuho no Shizuku" chocolates. It shapes like masu (traditional square sake boxes), these glossy, jewel-like confections are filled with delicate gelees infused with premium Uji matcha, houjicha and the historic Fushimi sake.
While upstairs, the space transitions into a serene, atmospheric salon - a place to indulge in artisanal chocolate parfaits, molten cakes, decadent chocolat chaud and also seasonal Afternoon Tea sets.
These beautifully-designed artisanal chocolates made with sake and tea were absolutely delicious. It is definitely the best small gift to bring home.
