It is one of Singapore's most historic landmarks. It has gone through the golden age of Singapore from a boring fishing village to a very happening trading era in the 19th Century. The decision to surrender Singapore to the Japanese made by the British during the World War II, has took place at one of the building in the park such as the Fort Canning Bunker or Battle Box. Many artifacts and structural building from the past are still survived and well-preserved until today. The greenery hill like a piece of lawns often draws foreigners came for a picnic, walk, festivals, parties and gatherings. There is also wedding photoshoot going on for some days with their park distinctive charm and tranquillity as backgrounds.
