After landed in Tokyo Japan, the first dinner spot to go since it was located at the most nearby to our hotel in Ueno. It is also just a 5 mins walk from the JR Ueno station or Keisei Ueno station. The queue was acceptable (around 10pax in front of us) when we arrived.
The board instruction is to order the foods first before queueing in the line.
Ramen Kamo to Negi opened its door in year 2016 and has gained favourite along the years. It is famous for their duck broth ramen and its domestically grown spring onions. They uses only carefully selected duck, green onion and water to cook their broth everyday. It was then slowly cook over low heat, without adding any chemical seasonings to create the most sophisticated duck broth that is rich in natural umami of the duck.
We took a quick glimpse at their vending machine menu, made a quick decision on which to order and got into the queue as soon as possible.
We ordered the duck meat ramen 鴨らーめん (980yen) and duck meat confit noodles 鴨コンフィ麵 (1260yen).
When you were in the queue, a staff who is on duty will came over to ask you to choose 2 types of spring onions from their monthly selective spring onions menu. For this month (March 2024), they have domestically grown log white spring onions, domestically grown Japanese onion slices with edible chrysanthemum and lastly the domestically grown all-purpose green onion.
The counter areas can fits up to 7pax.
Here comes the duck meat confit noodles 鴨コンフィ麵 (1260yen) with our chosen domestically grown Japanese onion slices with edible chrysanthemum and the domestically grown all-purpose green onion as toppings.
While the duck meat ramen 鴨らーめん (980yen) comes with our chosen domestically grown log white spring onions and domestically grown Japanese onion slices with edible chrysanthemum as toppings.
The soup broth was packed with duck umaminess with their perfect doneness on the poached duck slices. Soo yum! Slurpppss..
The queue was getting longer and longer after we have done eating. Try to visit when it is non-peak hours to skip the queues.
