Kuala Lumpur 吉隆玻: Dajin SIP Fest 2023 - Explore 40 over varieties Premium Sake || APW Bangsar

Dajin SIP Fest 2023 is the first ever unique sake tasting experience that you can never ask for! The event takes place from 29th September to 1st October 2023, at APW Bangsar. Sake lovers may explore 40 over Premium Sake varieties from 19 breweries of Japan. The event space is smaller that I thought but features lots of interesting premium sake from Japan like the Dassai, Daishichi, Oujiman, Hakkaisan, Tatenokawa, Tsuki no Katsura and many more.

We bought the advanced pack during the early bird promo for RM 119 that came with a glass and 10 tokens. We enjoyed trying few of the premium sake which specially recommended by friends. And since we have limited tokens to choose from 40 over premium sake, therefore, we got to choose it wisely. Aside from sake, there were also snacks and bites to pair with the sake. Of course, tokens were needed for the exchange of bites and snacks too.

Among of all we found one new love for this sake brand, Tsuki no Katsura. All of their series have very distinctive flavour profile. Very flavourful fruity yum. This was the Iwai 80% Junmai. It was really good and WOW. It has a very rich fruity and soft sweetness to the taste.

This was the Tsuki no Katsura Junmai Ginjo The Assemblage. It was so WOW! Definitely love this. Very flavourful and fruity too.

Then it was the Daishichi sake.

Another new love for me, that's the mermaid series. Every bottles were painted individually with their very own designs like whales, dolphins and etc. The mermaid series were very special and has a very special place in my heart. I was told that the little pearl in every bottles was collected from the Ocean. That's very special of it. The one that I had tried was the Kurajo Mermaid, is a Junmai Daiginjo by the Shiwa Sake Brewery. It was so beautiful and unique.

Other than the mermaid series, there were lots of other special sake from this company as they have gathered all of the female brewers from all over Japan under one roof where one may try all of their series at a bar in Gifu. Sounds interesting and fun!

Another brand that we had came across with was the Oujiman! It was a gem too. This was the Oujiman 33, it has a very soft and smooth elegant aroma with some little fizziness of taste. Really quite good and WOW!
