Kuala Lumpur 吉隆玻: Cili Kampung || Hartamas Shopping Centre

Cili Kampung Hartamas Shopping Centre branch  is located at the ground floor right in front of the main road. It is very easy to be spotted. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with many green plants in Balinese-style.

The interior design was so on point.
One of my favourite drink was the Apple assam boi. So refreshing and appetising!

In the menu, you will notice that, there are few cooking style options (like Masak Lomak, Asam Pedas, Masak Kicap, Sambal Cili Api, Stir-Fry) to choose from for your chosen food ingredients (like chicken, fish, prawns, vegetables). Choose your prefer combo (cooking style + food ingredients) that you would like to try ! We are always having fun in doing the mix and match combo while dining here.
From the Masak Lomak (yellow coconut gravy - made with vegetables, homemade chili paste, Lemongrass, turmeric and coconut milk) category, we chose to cook with chicken (RM 40).
And for squid, we chose to cook with masak kicap (soybean sauce - made with vegetables, Lemongrass, ginger, garlic and chili) category (RM 55).
My favourite fried eggplant with anchovies (RM 22).
Well, for sambal cili api (homemade chili blend - made with green chili, red chili, garlic and red onions) category, we chose to cook with prawns (RM 60).
Stir-fry mustard leaf in oyster sauce (RM 18).
Asam pedas (spicy sour base - made with okra, homemade chili paste, Tamarind, citrus leaf, Lemongrass, ginger and garlic) category to cook with tenggiri (slice) (RM 60). The portion was really huge and spicy.
We were definitely overwhelmed with our first visit to the restaurant, all the foods were soo good. Therefore, on our second visit, we ordered the squid with masak lomak category (RM 55).
Stir-fry kailan with dried salted fish (RM 18).
Ordered this fried eggplant with anchovies (RM 22) again. Sooo yummm..
Well, this round for Sambal cili api, we chose to cook with chicken (RM 40). Very yumm too.
Stir-fry mustard leaf in oyster sauce (RM 18).
While prawns cook with masak kicap.
Ordered this asam pedas again. Last round was too good but very spicy. This round was super spicy too!
Onde onde pudding bakar (RM 22) - slice of buttered bread with pandan & coconut milk flavour, layered with palm sugar coconut grated, crumbly topping, grated roasted coconut served with homemade vanilla sauce.

Bukit kelapa (RM 18) - coconut ice-cream, pineapple filling, gula melaka syrup with biscuit crumble, honey comb & mixed nuts topping.

One big pot of rice was served.
All the foods portion was really huge. It is meant for sharing. Very classic malay foods. Everything looks so appealing and appetising. All the foods here were indeed veryy tasty good.
